About Praana Indian Cuisine
Rahul and Parul Blokhra are pleased to announce the opening of our new restaurant called Praana by Paheli. Opening with Chef Nimma Reddy. It was always Nimma Ji's dream to open a high end high quality South Indian Cuisine. We are currently open as a soft opening and continue to build our menu so we can indulge you in mouth watering dishes from all parts of India. Food was amazing, from the appetizers to the main course. Had the avocado bhel, dahi puri, dhosa, to name a few and all were delicious. Our server Ramya was extremely friendly and helpful. Will definitely be coming back!

It was a great experience; the food was very flavorful, and the atmosphere felt very authentic and inviting. My server recommended the Dosa, which was perfectly crisp, and the potato filling was vibrant in both color and flavor. The chutneys varied in spice, and the soup was assertive and uplifting. I think the server's recommendation really captured a broad overview of flavors, and I couldn't be happier with my experience. If you find yourself tired of boring food, stop in—you will not be disappointed!

It was one of those impromptu “let’s eat out” plans by my wife (and before anyone assumes—yes, I do my fair share in the kitchen 😄). We reached the place a bit confused—is it Paheli or Praana? The big sign says Paheli, but it’s actually Praana. Turns out, it’s like Paheli’s smaller sister—chain of Paheli, but with a different (more Kerala-style) menu. The place was completely empty, and we were the only guests. Honestly, that always makes me a bit uncomfortable being only party there... Anyway, we ordered Meen Pollichath Pompano Fish, and Mutton Biryani We originally planned to get shrimp roast, but the server suggested for fish dish instead—and I’m so glad we listened. Even though it was close to closing time, they still took about 35 minutes to prepare it fresh. And wow… what a dish! The Pomfret was absolutely loaded with masala, cooked under banana leaf—rich, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. Fish was sitting on a bed of masala that you can also eat with rice (preferably with your hands!) or Kerala parotta. Easily the star of the meal. The biryani? Just okay—nothing special. Amazing & authentic Indian food & service here. We loved the chat, dosa, bhatoore chhole & Gajar ka halwa here. Big thanks to Ramya for being a wonderful host. They also have Paheli across the road, that restaurant is also outstanding.
